right here in Pineland! This fabulous opportunity is available for adults in Sabine County who would like assistance in learning the English language or would like to complete their highschool education by earning their GED . These courses will be hosted at the West Sabine Leadership & Community Development Center and will be taught by a member of our community. West Sabine has been named a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Distinction. The school earned this recognition by increasing their club’s membership by at least 10% from last year.
National Beta School of Distinction is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to reward those schools that show an increase in membership for the current school year. This year, only 22% of Beta Clubs across the country received this award.
In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “This national award speaks highly of your commitment to academic excellence and illustrates your dedication to preparing students for their future.”
Award recipients will receive a National Beta School of Distinction banner to proudly display as a symbol of their accomplishment.

Tonight, the Board of Trustees & Superintendent reviewed plans to renovate restroom pods at West Sabine Elementary. These renovations will preserve the space already on campus to triple the restroom availability for staff and update the conditions for the student population.
Also, WSISD awarded the bid for the Track Resurfacing and Turf Renovation Project to Tarkett Sports/FieldTurf.
EOC Scores should be ready on June 7, 2024. STAAR Scores will be ready on June 14, 2024. Please see the following attachments regarding your scores.
