West Sabine Celebrates Go-Texan Day! The anticipation for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ has been building, and now it is time to show your excitement. Participate in the celebration on Go Texan Day, Feb. 28, 2025, by putting your best cowboy attire forward and showing your Western pride.

Special thanks to all of the WS Teams that pulled the school together for 3 major events held on Sunday, Monday and tonight. All parties that made tonight happen and that jumped in immediately in the emergency situation, bless all of you!

From Transportation Department: NOTICE: All riders on Strickland Crossing will be picked up and dropped off when the bus is on the way out.

The February Regular Scheduled Board Meeting for tomorrow has been rescheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025 at 6:00 pm. All functions of the building for that day will be adjusted to reflect the meeting.

The regularly scheduled board meeting for the West Sabine ISD Trustees has been postponed. New date to be announced.

Tiger Family, out of an abundance of caution, WSISD has cancelled all classes and offices for Tuesday, 1/21/25. We will continue to monitor the weather forecasts and conditions for any decisions the rest of the week. Be safe.

Just a reminder, WSISD is hosting a Parent & Family Technology Workshop tonight at the West Sabine Leadership & Community Development Center (505 S. Temple Avenue) from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm ! Computers will be available for you to use! We will provide information for parents and families regarding ClassLink sign in, Parent Portal access for grades and attendance checks, STAAR/EOC resources, and remote access to educational programs for extra academic help outside of the school day. Come join us!

The date is set for our annual Health & Wellness Night! Don't forget to mark your calendar and plan to attend. We will have valuable information, resources, door prices, and a meal at no cost to you. Remember, anyone in Sabine County may attend. See you May 6th!

Tiger Nation, We wanted to keep you briefed that we are closely monitoring the forecasts for our area regarding this week's weather risks. Also, please note that if your contact information (phone/email) has changed to alert the offices for us to get your files up to date. WSISD Operations has been making necessary preparation for the frigid temps regarding our fleet and our buildings as well. We will continue to keep everyone posted as things progress.

This January, WSISD will pause to appreciate & celebrate our Board of Trustees. We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated Board Members who are committed to advocate for the success and growth of West Sabine.

Tiger Nation, Due to a new format for UIL this year, we will not utilize our early release days next week. Elementary UIL will be on Tuesday and Middle School will be on Wednesday. With our commitment to growth and excellence, we will remain in school. No early release.
