We wanted to keep you briefed that we are closely monitoring the forecasts for our area regarding this week's weather risks. Also, please note that if your contact information (phone/email) has changed to alert the offices for us to get your files up to date.
WSISD Operations has been making necessary preparation for the frigid temps regarding our fleet and our buildings as well. We will continue to keep everyone posted as things progress.
This January, WSISD will pause to appreciate & celebrate our Board of Trustees. We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated Board Members who are committed to advocate for the success and growth of West Sabine.

Due to a new format for UIL this year, we will not utilize our early release days next week. Elementary UIL will be on Tuesday and Middle School will be on Wednesday. With our commitment to growth and excellence, we will remain in school. No early release.

Water has been turned back on as of the 8 o’clock hour.
Toilets/urinals have been flushed and disinfected.
Vents are on across the campuses to assist in neutralizing air.
First shift will clean toilets at 5/6 am tomorrow morning.

We are staying in communication with the City of Pineland regarding our water situation.
We are in hopes that the system will be found and fixed tonight. Also, Be alert that the temperature will fall tonight. The 8am forecast is set to be in the 40s.

The water will be off until late this evening due to the unforeseen water outage behind the clinic. Most of area in town are out of water. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are not home, please call the school. JH/HS Athletes will stay.
West Sabine ISD has partnered with Angelina College to offer ESL and GED courses
right here in Pineland! This fabulous opportunity is available for adults in Sabine County who would like assistance in learning the English language or would like to complete their highschool education by earning their GED . These courses will be hosted at the West Sabine Leadership & Community Development Center and will be taught by a member of our community.
